We first hosted the first Ideal Care Awards in 2019 as we wanted to recognise the amazing work that our colleagues do each and every day in our homes and show our appreciation.
Basically, we wanted to say thank you to our teams and the awards have gone so well that we decided to make it an annual event!
The response to the first year of our awards was phenomenal and surpassed even our expectations. We received over 700 nominations and hosted a sparkling gala awards dinner at the Casa Hotel in Chesterfield for over 150 team members. Our second ceremony was hosted in 2021 and we had over 1000 nominations and our third awards in November 2022 was also a huge success!

I have been twice to the Ideal Care Awards but 2021 was great because I was nominated and won! The event itself is a great evening but winning the award was the icing on the cake. I truly felt that my colleagues appreciated me and what I do in the home.
It was a great evening shared with great people. Shaun – AKA Barry from Eastenders – was very entertaining!
The venue was wonderful; I for one had a really good night and enjoyed it from start to finish.
I feel Ideal Care Homes really value their staff. I enjoyed the event, it is both emotional and spectacular. The Ideal Care Awards is an amazing night, where we all manage to get together and celebrate such amazing achievements. I was shocked to be voted into the final and to actually win an award just blew me away.
Even though I couldn’t be at the awards in person it was lovely that the team ensured I was on WhatsApp when the award was presented. It meant I could enjoy the moment and celebrate! The previous awards that I have been to have been such fun and at times very emotional, seeing everybody’s achievements recognised.
